Modern slavery and human trafficking
We oppose forced labour, human trafficking, child exploitation and coercive recruitment in fresh produce supply chains. We aim to raise concerns with suppliers and assess credible reports before continuing purchasing relationships. This is a voluntary statement of principles, not a statutory Modern Slavery Act section 54 statement.
Ethical sourcing and supplier conduct
We expect suppliers to comply with applicable employment, food safety and trading laws, including lawful working conditions and honest product descriptions. We intend to consider provenance, product quality, pack specifications and any material supply-chain concerns when selecting suppliers.
Food safety and traceability
Fresh produce handling and traceability are important to our operations. Customers and business buyers can contact us about product specifications, origin and any safety concerns. Product-specific traceability or certification should be confirmed before being relied upon.
Allergens and cross-contact
Some fresh produce and associated packaged products may present allergy risks. Packaging, supplier information and relevant product declarations should be checked before purchase or consumption. Customers with allergies should contact us for the relevant product information rather than assume an item is free from cross-contact.
Packaging, waste and sustainability
We aim to reduce avoidable produce waste and consider appropriate packaging and responsible purchasing practices. We do not claim carbon neutrality, zero waste or independent sustainability certification.
Fair trading, complaints and concerns
We aim to describe products, quantities and availability accurately and to respond to concerns about produce quality, purchasing or supplier conduct. Please contact us through the website to raise an issue; individual outcomes depend on the facts and applicable consumer or business terms.
